What size tennis bracelet should I buy? An Australian sizing guide

Fit is the single most common reason a tennis bracelet is returned, and it is the easiest thing to get right before you order. You need a tape measure or a strip of paper and two minutes.

Measuring your wrist

Wrap a soft tape around your wrist just below the wrist bone, where a watch sits. Keep it snug but not tight — you should be able to slide a finger under it. Note the number in centimetres.

If you do not have a soft tape, cut a strip of paper about a centimetre wide, wrap it, mark where it overlaps, then lay it flat against a ruler.

What the sizes fit

Bracelet lengths are quoted in inches, which is unhelpful if you have just measured in centimetres. The important thing to understand is that the bracelet length is not your wrist measurement — it is longer, because the bracelet has to sit around the wrist rather than against it.

Bracelet length Fits a wrist of
6½ inches (16.5 cm) 14–15 cm
7 inches (17.8 cm) 15.5–16.5 cm
7½ inches (19.1 cm) 17 cm and over

Seven inches suits most adult women, which is why it is the length we hold in stock. The other two we make to order.

Between two sizes, take the larger

How loose you wear a bracelet is personal — some people like it sitting against the wrist, some like it moving. But if you land between two sizes, size up. A tennis bracelet that is slightly loose still looks right and rolls to show the stones. One that is tight does not look like anything except tight, and it puts strain on the clasp.

If it arrives and the fit is wrong

You have thirty days to change your mind, and return postage within Australia is on us. Send it back unworn and we will swap the length or refund it. The full terms are on the shipping and returns page.

Sizes and centimetre equivalents for our moissanite tennis bracelet are listed on the product page, under "Get the length right".
